Art Studio

Art studios

All Fine Art students at Goldsmiths are allocated their own studio space, and if you’re doing an undergraduate degree then yours will be in the iconic Ben Pimlott Building. Your studio practice will make up the bulk of your programme, and you’ll have access to excellent facilities and technical advice from tutors and visiting artists. Studios are not divided by year or discipline, so you’ll be studying alongside students from all stages of the degree, working in a wide variety of media.

College Green

After several hours in the studio you might want to spend some time outdoors. Grab some lunch from one of the many catering outlets on campus and head to the College Green – a great place to relax and catch up with friends.

Laurie Grove Baths

Laurie Grove Baths

This is where some of our postgraduate studios are based. For that reason access is often reserved for them, however during the annual Goldsmiths degree shows the space will be opened up and transformed into an exhibition area, giving everyone a chance to see some incredible art and explore the beautiful Grade II-listed building.

Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA)

The Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) is our very own public art gallery on campus, bringing exciting contemporary artists to New Cross. Admission to the centre’s exhibitions is free, and the space – a converted Victorian bathhouse redesigned by Turner Prize winners Assemble – is the perfect place to consider your practice in relation to the wider art world.
