If you can’t function properly without a morning coffee or tea, then Thirty Five is the ideal pit stop. Located in the heart of the Richard Hoggart Building, it’s a great spot to watch the world go by before your day of study begins. Keep a look out for the Goldsmiths-inspired mural on one of the walls.

The Department of Anthropology is based right next door to the Richard Hoggart Building, overlooking a peaceful garden and the Goldsmiths allotment. Within the department you’ll be able to chat to tutors and technicians, and get advice on your latest assignment.

The Refectory is a popular destination for lunch. It’s somewhere you can catch up with friends and enjoy a selection of hot and cold foods (including vegetarian, vegan and halal options) in a food court-style setting.

On an anthropology degree you’ll be expected to undertake a fair bit of independent study in addition to attending lectures and seminars. Head to the library to spend a few hours catching up on your reading, or getting advice from the anthropology Subject Librarian.

Cinema

Cinema

If you fancy switching off at the end of the day, the campus cinema – Curzon Goldsmiths – is a great venue. Open on weekday evenings and all day at weekends, it screens the latest releases from around the world, from human-interest stories to historical dramas. As a student you’ll get discounted tickets, and, if you pick up a loyalty card, each fifth film you see will be free.
